Unique Auction Gives To Charity
Bidaroo.com has to be one of the most unique auction sites that I have ever seen.This isn’t your typical auction site that you just place a bid and hope that yours is the highest bid that wins the auction. What makes this auction unique is that the winning bid is not only the highest bid, but the only unique bid. This means that if you bid $9.87 and are the only one that bid that amount and it just happens to be the highest bid, you win. Here, watch this flash animation on how the unique bidding works.
Another thing that makes this site unique is that at least 25% of the winning bid goes to a charity of your choice! I don’t believe there is anything like this on the web at all. So not only do you get a chance to winning a bid on a Wii or MacBook, but you also give to a charitable cause!
Most of the auctions have the items marked 80% - 90% off the retail price which in itself is a great reason to play. I don’t know about you, but I wouldn’t want to miss the chance on getting a MacBook for just $89. Paying the Bid processing fee isn’t a big deal either when you think about the possibilities of what you can win.
So, basically you have to pay a bid processing fee in order to play the auction, but the odds are not that bad, because there are maximum amount of bids set on a lot of the items. The Wii already has 47 or the 48 available. So you have a one in 48 chances of winning that auction!
I think this is a great idea, and I can bet that it will do great things for the charities out there.
