There’s a new service that’s taking blogging in a whole new direction. An interesting one actually.
Instead of having your own hosted blog that is strictly run on one of the many types of content management platforms, or using a free based hosted one, that is just a blog containing your posts. What about having your posts displayed with several other bloggers and competing to be the top or most interesting blogger?
If you check out the Forum at thoughts.com you will notice a very large category and genre listing. There’s got to be something available for every type of topic that anybody could write about.
The service allows you not only t o participate in Forum threads, but along with blog postings you are able to upload photos, podcasts, and videos all with unlimited bandwidth. You’re postings will be displayed on the homepage for viewers to see, and if you’re really good and become popular, you’ll be featured in their top posts section too.
I just spent a lot of time in the Humor section of the Forum and had a lot of good laughs. I am always up for a bunch of good joke, no matter how tasteful they are. I always enjoy a good laugh.
You can create a free blog or a personal online journal there and you also have the option of having your posts public, private, or you can have them password protected for you’re personal guest list.
If you’re looking for more than just a blog service, then thoughts.com is the place to have a look at. But this is just my opinion, and you’re entitled to it.
