McMillionaire
If you won over a million bucks, would you keep working at your current job?
I for sure the hell wouldn’t!
But that’s a different story when a British man who won millions, and wants to keep his job at the golden arches. Luke Pittard won 2.7 Million dollars and continued flipping burgers at McDonalds. Yes, Flipping burgers!
Pittard, 25, from Wales, England, became a millionaire after winning the British lottery 18 months ago. He promptly quit his McDonald’s job.
“I don’t think much will change in my life, just the fact that I got money,” Pittard said at the time.
Things changed less than Pittard expected. Today, he is back at work at the Golden Arches.
“To be honest, there’s only so much relaxing you can do,” he said.
The only thing I can think why he would still want to go back to work there is because it’s for just a couple of hours, and he gets to stay in touch with his friends and co-workers. And maybe a little gloating is involved too.
If you go to the articles page I read this on and watch the video, they’ll show a lot of folks saying that they would still continue to work. I can only imaging that they all have a pretty good life and their jobs don’t drag them down at all, because my job is constantly snatching away my personal life and the hours really suck.
There’s no way you would EVER see me returning to work if I won a big lottery, except to go there and tell them to shove their job up their, “you know what.”
I would actually start something on my own. Something that I would enjoy. I would travel, and relax till I’m sick of relaxing, and then travel some more.
Why the hell would I continue making somebody else rich when I don’t have to? I would rather do business on my own.
I don’t have a fancy job, and I’m not some executive of some big company. If I was, I might keep doing that, but not full time.
I guess it would all depend on what you’re currently doing that would play a big factor in weather or not to keep working after winning a large sum of money, but that’s just my opinion, and you’re entitled to it.
