Is Google Getting it?

Google Logo Well my Google ads have finally paid off.

It took about 3 months to reach my $50 mark, and thanks to you and the service, I’ve made an extra $50 to put in my pocket.

Well sorta.

The last account I had with Google wasn’t so complicated. I displayed their ads and I got paid, but this new site has another way of doing business.

In my opinion, which you are all entitled to, is that Google may be stepping in the right direction with their new paying system.

First off, I have to get traffic right;

So that works out fine with all my Google AdSence ads on all my sites.

But what about getting paid. That has actually changed too. It’s a lot different since I last got paid from Google AdSense.

When it came time to get some cash from them, I was prompted to complete a couple of tasks.

First I had to make a phone call to Google AdSense to confirm task number one;

But if that wasn’t enough, I still have to follow out another task. Apparently I will be receiving a piece of mail from Google AdSence wit ha specific code in it that I need to input into another form. I will have to input a PIN number to verify who I am.

This is all great and everything, but in my opinion that you’re entitled to, I think they should focus on making it that hard for sploggers to create their splogging accounts! Why make it hard for me to get paid when I’m a legitimate user? Make it harder for the scum that steal content from bloggers that work hard on their topics?

It’s great that Google has become focused on security and authenticating things, especially when it comes to online Bot programs making a mess of things these days. But please, why the hell make it so fregging difficult to pay legit users, and easy for spamming splog sites to get accounts?

This is just my opinion, and you’re entitled to it.

    Matt Cutts wrote about this a few months ago they have released or are going to release something that should help them identify spam. I imagine it’s not an easy process however they have asked people to report spam if they see it. I’ve reported the people that continually try to scrape my content one of them was booted. I’m not sure if it was because of me or a number of people but that fool was constantly scraping content and ad Adsense on the website. That’s a big no no.

    I think I read that post too Opal. :D
