Greyhound Bus Beheading

Tim McLean was just minding his own business and taking a nap. Riding on a bus seems like an OK place to nap don’t you think. Well that was not the case just last week, Wednesday I do believe, because Tim McLean was brutally murdered on the Greyhound bus, stabbed repeatedly and beheaded.

I’m sure that a lot of people won’t be taking any risks by taking any naps while they’re traveling on the bus after they hear this news story which is one of many circulating around the Internet.

News of how McLean’s eerily calm seatmate suddenly exploded in violence on Wednesday, stabbing the young man and then decapitating him, has made headlines around the world.

The accused, Vince Weiguang Li, 40, of Edmonton, made his first court appearance Friday morning.

For those who knew the 22-year-old from Winnipeg, the shock of the unprovoked attack and the horrific stories told by witnesses were almost unfathomable.

“I knew he was coming back from the (exhibition) — he travels with the ex,” explained William Caron, 23, of Winnipeg, one of McLean’s best friends since they were in Grade 7 together.

The part that I found a little odd about the whole story, aside from the beheading that is, is that nobody tried to help him out. Instead everybody fled out of the bus leaving the guy to fend off this much larger man. They left him to die.

I can understand how one would be scared out of their wits, but I think I would at least try and wrangle a few other people to try and take this psycho out. At least there would be hope that Mr. McLean might have survived the stabbing. I’m sure that 40 people running down the attacker would have made a difference. Yea, some people may have gotten hurt, but that’s nothing compared to having your head chopped off.

This is just my opinion, and you’re entitled to it.
