Cher Replaces Celine Dion
Who would have thought that Cher would still be performing well into her sixties? Despite her age, she still manages to put on a really great show. I just hope that I am as energetic as she is when I reach her age.
It appears that not only my fellow Canadians do not really want Celine Dion, but the folks in Las Vegas have replaced her with Cher. If I had to choose between the two, I would have chosen Cher over Celine Dion any day. Although I really don’t care much for their music, I find that Cher would be a lot more tolerable than Celine Dion. Although Cher’s older stuff, and I talking about the classics, wasn’t that bad come to think of it.
The Cher tickets at Caesar’s Palace Las Vegas are now on sale for those interested in going there to see one of her shows. She will be performing there regularly, so I am sure that you can manage to catch her show anytime.
I can actually still remember the variety show that both Sonny and Cher hosted. It was one of them shows that became a ritual at my place. Everybody would be sitting in front of the TV damaging their eyes because we sat so close, but nobody cared or really knew that sitting to close to the TV was bad for you. From the moment the show started to the very last second, nobody looked away from the TV or said a word, except to laugh at something funny in one of the sketches or something. I’ve seen a lot of copy cat variety shows, but non of them could come close to the Sonny and Cher Show.
All in all, I think the change at Caesar’s Palace to have Cher perform instead of Celine Dion is a wise one. At least Cher isn’t as phony as Celine, but that’s just my opinion, and you’re entitled to it.
